Why it is necessary to remove the dental pulp
In cases of endodontics, the dental experts at Policlínica Dental Rogé (Andorra) consider that if the infected tooth pulp is not removed, in addition to causing pain, the swelling and problems arising from such infection may cause serious injury to the jaw.
If, therefore, a tooth or molar part is subjected to an endodontic treatment, a decision may be made to remove the dental pulp.

With a local anaesthesia, a dental or molar endodontics treatment consists in creating an adequate opening at the occlusal surface of the tooth, to permit access to the pulp chamber and to the root canals. In a single endodontics visit, a cleansing of teeth canals is performed, to the very apex. Following the cleaning, the tooth or molar is sealed once again, and is restored by means of a filling or prosthetic restoration (crown), as required.
